Spirit Park project consists of 13 sculptural elements up to 14’ sited in different areas of this athletic park. They include 2 benches, 4 free standing sculptures, 2 sculptures with signage, 4 bike racks, and 4 bas relief sculptures for the bathrooms area. All are based on local flora and most use recycled baseball bats as the ‘flowers’

This piece is sited at the entrance to Newell Hall on UF campus. The building was one of the first university buildings and was originally used for agricultural research. It has just been refurbished and now is a student commons/study area. We wanted to create a work that connected this evolution.
